Attend Our Monthly Meeting
The Brown County Democrats meet the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Our usual meeting location is the Brown County Community Foundation, but this changes occasionally. Check our latest updates and social media for this month's meeting information.
Volunteer With Us
Mother's Cupboard Community Kitchen
Date: Every 4th Thursday of the month
Location: 646 Memorial Rd, Nashville, IN 47448
Details: Join fellow Democrats in our monthly volunteer date at Mother's Cupboard. There are two shift times available. The cooking shift starts at 12:30pm and runs until approximately 4pm. The serving shift starts at 3:30pm and runs until approximately 6:30pm. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. There is no advance sign-up, but if you plan to bring several people, check with Mother's Cupboard before to confirm they can accommodate a group.
Road Clean-Up
The Brown County Democrats have adopted Railroad Road and clean up roadside trash approximately three times per year. Check the events calendar on the homepage for our next date, or email us to let us know you'd like to participate in the next clean-up.
Spring Blossom Parade
Every year the Brown County Democrats walk in the Spring Blossom Parade. Volunteers are needed annually to help create our float, walk in the parade, and serve ice cream afterward. Keep an eye out for a sign-up sheet in the spring.
Brown County Fair
We sell affordable fish sandwiches, chips, drinks, and other snacks at the Brown County Fair each year. Volunteers are needed annually to staff the booth each day of the fair as cashiers and food handlers. We also need donations of canned and bottled beverages. We will post a sign-up list with our needs in the spring.
Join a Committee
The best way to learn what our committees are doing and get involved is to attend a monthly meeting. If you can't make a meeting and still want to get involved, email bcindems@gmail.com.
